ABOUT

I grew up in the suburbs of Copenhagen and now live in Vanløse, a town right on the edge of the danish capital. My childhood was filled with ideas, drawings, and a drum kit, and when I first picked up a video camera at 19, both play and purpose suddenly found their path. To this day, I’m still drawn to what is bold, dynamic and playful, but always with a focus on substance and authenticity – within myself, in others and in the projects I take on.

Documentary filmmaking has taken me to places like Sierra Leone, Ghana, Bolivia, South Africa, and Lebanon, and I’ve helped develop and create award-winning scripted series and shows at DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) and BBC Studios Nordic. In 2020, I co-directed the DFI co-funded documentary series NIENDE with co-director Olivia Maria Rus, co-produced with Palle Nørmark.

Artists and culture creators I collaborate with often highlight how quickly we uncover new dimensions, details, and creative possibilities in our work together – and how we manage to get to the core of the idea. Personally I’d say you’ll meet a visual thinker with a lot of patience and laughter never far away.
